Products & Orders
All of our fine mineral specimens are sourced exclusively from Madagascar by artisan and small-scale miners, independent dealers and private collectors. We adopt strong ethics when sourcing our minerals, ensuring no forced or child labour was employed in the process. We also ensure that we can contribute back to the development of the local community, especially miners, and the rehabilitation of the mines and environment, prior to our purchases.
All specimens are legally certified and authorised by the local authorities prior to export.
We take great effort in ensuring that our minerals are packaged safely and securely prior to dispatch; however, we do not claim liability for mishandling on behalf of the courrier service. Nevertheless, you may be eligible for a refund for damaged-in-transit items; please click here to find out more.

- Please note that items in your shopping bag will be maintained in your shopping bag for 30 days, on the same device. Once these 30 days have passed, your items will be removed.
We accept payments made via credit card, debit card, Paypal and Google Pay with a valid billing and shipping address. Accepted cards include Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Rest assured that all transactions are secured as our website is provided with SSL encryption technology to protect your personal and payment data.
Please note: All orders are placed through Meralt Limited, a UK business entity, and as such, your card issuer or payment provider may apply other international bank charges, if applicable. Additionally, if your payment method or credit/debit card is not denominated in the currency of your purchase, the final price will be charged in the currency of your card. This will be calculated and charged by your payment provider and Meralt Limited has no control over these charges.
Additional remarks: Tax on purchases made through our online store, meralt.com, cannot be claimed through the VAT Retail Export Scheme.
We offer free shipping to all orders within the UK and for orders above £150 in some EU countries.
For other deliveries that do not qualify for free shipping, you will be notified at checkout on the shipping rates, prior to confirming your order.
Once you have placed an order, it will be processed within 24 hours, after which you will receive an order confirmation email. Please note that at busy times, it may take up to 48 hours for your order to be passed onto our courier partner.
We currently do not offer next day delivery, however, your parcel will be delivered within 3-5 working days from the moment your order has been dispatched.
Working days are defined as Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, excluding public holidays in the UK.
If your country is not listed in our Shipping Destinations, please get in touch with us and we'll work to find the best solution.
Once your order has been processed and dispatched to our partner courier service, you will receive a notification email including your shipping tracking number. You may then visit our partner courier website and track your shipment.

PO Box Addresses
We are unable to deliver to PO Box numbers, BFPO addresses, mail-forwarding addresses and temporary residence addresses. This is to ensure the safe and undamaged delivery of your order.
Delivery on Weekends
Weekend delivery varies globally and we would recommend contacting the courier for further details. In the UK, our couriers do not deliver at weekends, unless the nominated day service is selected for Saturday or Sunday.
Delivery On Public Holidays
Our couriers do not currently deliver on public holidays.
Next Day Delivery
We do not offer next day delivery at the moment. However, we always ensure that your order is processed as quickly as possible.
Unless otherwise stated, our mineral specimens are shipped from the UK.
Customs and Duty are applicable to orders placed from outside the EU. In order to meet all legal requirements, Meralt will ship parcels with invoices with the appropriate value declared. It is the responsibility of the customer or purchaser to pay outstanding customs and duties.
Returns & Refunds
We take great care in ensuring that your mineral specimens are packaged safely and securely, however, damages may be incurred on transit, which we cannot foresee.
In order to ensure that the mineral specimen you wish to order is up to your expectation and matches our identification, please browse carefully through the specimen pictures and video prior to placing your order. Alternatively, you may contact us to request clarification and further information about our products.
Upon receiving your order, please check that it is not missing any item or that it is not damaged. If your order is damaged as a result of shipping, please take a photo of the packaging and specimen in situ and send these to us by contacting Customer Care.
If your order is missing some items, please contact one of our support team through the live chat box or contact our Customer Care team as soon as possible.
If the mineral has been misidentified prior to placing your order, please get in touch with us here with your claims and we will assess this on a case-by-case basis.
If, upon receiving your mineral specimen, you believe it has been misidentified, we will require details of the mineral identification method used in order to understand your claims. If the claims have reasonable grounds, putting the identity of the mineral in question, you will be given an extended cooling off period to ship the item(s) back to us, for further assessment. If, as a result of this analysis, it is found that the specimen in question is not as advertised, we will offer you a full refund.
Please note that failure to contact us, within 14 days after receiving the item, and prior to the return of a specimen may lead to the rejection of the specimen and your refund. Any item not received in its original condition will not be liable for a refund. Therefore, it is strongly advisable that you contact us for packaging advice prior to shipping the item back to us.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase and you may send this, along with the parcel, to the following address:

Please note that you are responsible for paying the return shipping costs and if you are shipping an item over £50, we recommend using a trackable shipping service, requiring a receipt signature.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. We charge a 20% restocking fee, deducted from the refund, for returns not meeting the following criteria: damaged on transit and misidentification after order has been placed.
If your request for a refund is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10-15 working days.
